Usage Background

The function enables to set some basic attributes of element entities to be identified soon in CAD drawing.

Operation Procedures

Step 1: Click CAD Identification > CAD Identification Options in the menu bar, and CAD Identification Options dialog box pops up.

Notes

1. Select the option line, and the corresponding information displays in the bottom left corner of the dialog box.
2. In beam setting, "Beam Size Identifying Mode" can control the method of reading beam size when identifying CAD drawing, you can select Width * Height or Height * Width from the drop-down list, Width *Height by default.
3. In beam setting, "The Extending Length of Beam Coming Across Column or Wall" is used to control the length of beam extending into wall or column, and two options are available: a. Extend into the column or wall: If this option is selected, it means beam extends to the center of column when coming across column, while it extends the half of wall thickness when coming across wall, no matter whether they are parallel or intersecting; b. Extend to the nearest side of the column or wall: If this option is selected, it means beam extends to the nearest side of the column or wall when coming across the column or wall, and the default option is Extend into the column or wall.
